Horseback Riding at Cerro Dorotea

One of the best panoramic views can be appreciated from Cerro Dorotea, but even better if the journey to the top is done on horseback, passing through lenga forests and calafate bushes. Once at the summit, you can see all the mountains and glaciers surrounding the Última Esperanza fjord and its surroundings, as well as an incredible view of Puerto Natales.

• Price: CLP $55,000 per person (September to April)
• Start Time: Departure at 10:00 a.m. at Cerro Dorotea.
• Return Time: Arrival at approximately 01:30 p.m.
• Duration: Approximately 3.5 hours.
• Includes: Local guide + entrance to Cerro Dorotea, a small snack at the end of the excursion, and horseback riding equipment (helmet, gaiters).
• Cancellation or rescheduling policy: 72 hours.
• Does not include: Water, food + personal and medical expenses, and transportation to the location.

Recommendations:

– Wear synthetic and warm clothing to be able to put on the waterproof suit, sunglasses, sunscreen, and spare clothing.

Excursion

The plot is located at the foot of Cerro Dorotea, which is 9 km from Puerto Natales. You will ride until you reach the lookout point of Cerro Dorotea, where you can appreciate the mountains surrounding the city, fjords, and in the distance, the Balmaceda glacier. You will also observe native fauna such as condors, eagles, and if luck permits, even some pumas. After enjoying this beautiful view, along with the local flora and fauna, we will begin the return to the plot to enjoy a delicious afternoon snack.
